Permission was given for Darkened Edge (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
The winner, Nordic Glory (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Brighton on 09 August 2024 where the gelding finished third of six, beaten by 9¼ lengths.
Michael Attwater’s explanation that the going at Brighton was riding slower than the official description of Good and that the gelding benefitted from a quicker surface on this occasion, officially described as Good to Firm, was noted.
Nordic Glory (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, Oisin Murphy reported that Batchelor Boy (IRE), unplaced, was slowly away; Connor Planas reported that Jungle Run (IRE), placed third, hung left-handed in the final furlong; Joshua Bryan reported that Cabeza De Llave (GB), unplaced, hung right-handed.
