The winner, ANYCITY (IRE), appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Southwell on 15 November 2018 where the gelding finished thirteenth of fourteen, beaten by 25 lengths. Michael Wigham's explanation that ANYCITY (IRE) had appreciated the switch to the Tapeta surface at Wolverhampton and had benefitted from the application of the first-time blinkers, was noted. ANYCITY (IRE) was routine tested.
