Permission was given for Macs Dilemma (IRE) to go early to post wearing a red hood.
Laura Coughlan, the rider of Bastogne (IRE), had fallen approximately 4½ furlongs out.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no other horse or rider was involved, and that the incident was accidental and caused by Bastogne (IRE) sustaining an injury.
Following the race, Shoot To Kill (IRE), which dead-heated for third, jumped awkwardly from the stalls and the Veterinary Officer reported that the gelding had lost both hind shoes; David Egan reported that Boxing Alex (GB), unplaced, ran too free in the first furlong; Luke Morris reported that Local Bay (GB), which dead-heated for third, was briefly denied a clear run in the final ½ furlong.
