There appeared to be interference between WHERE’S TOM, unplaced, ridden by Harry Kimber and Limelighter (GB), placed second, ridden by Marc Goldstein entering the first bend.
The riders were interviewed and shown recordings of the incident after which it was found that no interference had taken place and the incident was caused by WHERE’S TOM shying away to its right.
An enquiry was held to consider interference entering the final bend involving Zuba (GB), unplaced, ridden by James Davies and Systemic (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Jamie Moore.
The interference was found to be accidental as WHERE’S TOM, unplaced, made contact with the running rail when going for an ambitious gap between the rail and Limelighter (GB), placed second, causing WHERE’S TOM to become unbalanced and shift right resulting in Systemic (GB) being carried off its intended line and clipping the heels of Zuba (GB).
Following the race, Jordan Nailor reported that Force De Frap (FR), unplaced, ran too free.
