Approaching the final ½ furlong, Edessann (IRE), placed sixth, edged left at the same time as Glorious Charmer (GB), placed third, edged right causing Tarnhelm (GB), placed fifth, to be crowded for room and that rider to take a slight check, but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Joanna Mason reported that Tarnhelm (GB) suffered interference approaching the final ½ furlong.
Jim Goldie reported that ORIENTAL LILY, unplaced, was unsuited by breaking smartly and being unable to get cover.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination, during routine testing revealed Due A Win (GB), unplaced, to be suffering from mild heat stress.
