Gillard was fined £140 and skin scrapings from the horse were sent to Rossdales.
The performance of Gaot (FR), which started favourite and finished sixth, was considered.
The representative of Harry Fry’s explanation that the mare was unsuited by the going, which was officially described as Good to Soft on this occasion and in their opinion was riding slower than described, was noted.
