Permission was given for Theoryofeverything (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
Approaching the final furlong, Maximilian Caesar (IRE), placed second, shifted sharply left-handed, taking the winner, Tafreej (IRE), off its intended line.
After viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved.
The performance of Zouzanna (GB), which finished fourth, was considered.
The representative of Harry and Roger Charlton could offer no explanation for the filly’s performance, other than a report from David Probert that Zouzanna (GB) stumbled when leaving the stalls.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post- race examination of the filly during routine testing failed to reveal any abnormalities.
