The apparent improvement in form of the winner, Beach Break (GB), compared with its previous run at Cartmel on 20 July 2019 where the gelding finished 6th of 7 runners, beaten by 47 lengths, was considered.
Donald McCain’s comments that the gelding appreciated the good going here at Bangor today, were noted and Beach Break (GB) was routine tested.
Following the race, Thomas Willmott reported that Royal Reserve (GB), placed fourth, ran flat.
