The Stewards enquired into an incident in the back straight involving Albert Cashier, ridden by K.K. Hennessy, unplaced, Dandy Rock, ridden by C.J. McGovern, placed fifth and Qatar Delight (GB), ridden by D.P. Linehan, placed sixth, where it appeared that Dandy Rock ran short of room and stumbled. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was accidental in nature and took no further action. C.J. McGovern, rider of Dandy Rock, trained by T.Hogan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran short of room in the back straight, clipped a heel and stumbled.
