An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference inside the final ½ furlong involving Kitsune Power (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Jack Mitchell, Cabrakan (IRE), placed third, ridden by Thore Hammer Hansen, Evocative Spark (IRE), placed second, ridden by Callum Shepherd and the winner, Out From Under (GB), ridden by Trevor Whelan.
The Stewards considered that the interference had improved Out From Under (GB)’s placing with regards to Evocative Spark (IRE) only as Evocative Spark (IRE) was given a substantial bump, moved off its intended line of running and unbalanced when making contact with the third placed horse, Cabrakan (IRE), all of which cost it more than the head by which it was beaten.
The Stewards therefore revised the placings as follows: First, Evocative Spark (IRE), Second, Out From Under (GB), Third, Cabrakan (IRE), Fourth, Kitsune Power (IRE).
Whelan was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left- handed without sufficient correction, taking Evocative Spark (IRE) off its intended line and in turn bump Cabrakan who then caused interference to Kitsune Power (IRE).
Following the race, Trevor Whelan reported that Out From Under (GB), placed second, hung left-handed, Kieran Shoemark reported that Dirtyoldtown (IRE), unplaced, hung left-handed and Gina Mangan reported that her saddle had slipped on She's Sophie (GB), unplaced.
