Permission was given for Impressionable (GB) to go early to post.
But I Like It (IRE) ran yesterday, 19 December 2019, at Wolverhampton and finished unplaced.
Having been examined by the Veterinary Officer, the gelding was deemed fit to race.
Approaching the first bend, a free-running But I Like It (IRE), placed sixth, shifted left when being steadied off the heels of the winner, Clem A (GB), causing Fortissimo (IRE), placed seventh, to be tightened for room against the rail, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
The performance of Triple Nickle (IRE), which started favourite and finished unplaced, was considered.
Bernard Llewellyn could offer no explanation for the filly’s performance.
Following the race, Stefano Cherchi reported that Undercolours (IRE), placed third, hung right.
Jane Elliott reported that Impressionable (GB), unplaced, hung badly right and was unsteerable and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the filly failed to reveal any abnormalities.
