I rode him the last day in Listowel when I had a bad draw and around there is isn't ideal and was stuck three-wide the whole way which didn't suit. Once I got him straightened up he was still green but finished out his race well today and has come on again. His brother Snapraeterea was fourth in Ascot yesterday (Hampton Court Stakes) and he is from a very consistent family who always produce winners so hopefully he will go on to bigger and better things. The Stewards received a report from the Irish Horse Racing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer, that she was unable to positively identify Pessoa, trained by John Joseph Murphy, from the markings contained in the passport presented for this horse. Evidence was heard from George Murphy, Authorised Representative for the trainer, and from the I.H.R.B Veterinary Officer. George Murphy stated that the wrong horse had been brought to the course and accepted that the animal presented as Pessoa was in fact an unnamed two year old colt. Having considered the report and the evidence, the Stewards, pursuant to the provisions of Rule 90(iv), ordered the withdrawal of Pessoa and referred the matter to a Senior Racing Official for further investigation. Mr. J. McGuire, Acting Steward and Mr. G. Coughlan, Acting Steward, did not attend this enquiry and were replaced by Mr. C. Sweeney

At the request of the Stewards, L.F. Roche, rider of On The Third Day, trained by Mrs Prunella Dobbs, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran green throughout and ran on one paced when having to check due to traffic
