The winner, Ballyrashane (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Ludlow on 27 November 2023 where the gelding finished fourth of twelve runners, beaten by 18 lengths.
Christian Williams representative’s explanation that Ballyrashane (IRE) had benefited from a step up in trip, from 3 miles to 3 miles 5 furlongs, was noted and the gelding was routine tested.
Following the race, Tom Cannon reported that the saddle slipped on Eclair De Guye (FR), which was pulled up.
