I'm delighted he came out the right side of the photo as Donagh is a worse loser than I am! I'm delighted I put him on as I'd imagine the 10lb was a big help. This horse is an absolute star and doesn't know how to run a bad race. He makes my job easy as he's versatile trip wise and it (stepping up in trip) opens up the options. He's improving and is enjoying life so there's no reason to stop at the moment.

The Stewards interviewed J.L. Joyce, rider of Tambala, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, in the presence of A.Oliver, trainer of Tambala. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g), in that he used the whip with his arm above shoulder height and having considered his record, cautioned him concerning his future responsibilities in this regard.
