The winner, Knocknamona (IRE), appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Carlisle on 9 November 2020 where the gelding finished eighth of ten runners, beaten by 17 lengths.
The representative of Micky Hammond explained that the gelding had relished the return to Bangor where he had won previously and was further suited by the testing ground conditions with the going officially described as Heavy on this occasion.
His comments were noted and Knocknamona (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, Harry Skelton reported that Lex Talionis (IRE), which started favourite and was pulled up, was never travelling; the representative of Oliver Greenall reported that the gelding was unsuited by the Heavy going on this occasion and would prefer a quicker surface.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Norwegian Woods (IRE), which was pulled up, lost its left-fore shoe.
