I liked her the first day I rode her and she stepped up to win her maiden the last day. Today was a stepping stone for her - it wasn't a case of just getting black-type as I think she's a very smart filly.

The Stewards received a report from the riders in the fifth race that two lady riders were on the track when the field entered the back straight. Subsequently, the Stewards interviewed Miss M O Sullivan and Miss S Ahern who apologised for their actions adding that they were not aware that the race was off and did not hear the field approaching until very late. Having considered all the evidence, the Stewards reminded both riders of their future responsibilities in this regard. K.J. Manning, rider of Strike For Freedom, trained by J. S. Bolger, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung right in the straight.
