Formscan By Gary Carson - KARAFON tries maiden company for the first time over hurdles and should open his account. The Karaktar gelding was a fine fifth in a Grade 2 on his sole outing for Willie Mullins last Christmas at Leopardstown and gets another crack at a novice season now. He had also been Listed placed over hurdles in France prior to joining the champion trainer. Paul Collins ran a nice race on his track debut at Wexford when third to Empire Succes and may improve a bit from that. The form doesn't look anywhere near as strong as the selection though. Party Dress was well beaten when fifth at Fairyhouse last time but may be able to pick up some prize-money here.
