Review leopardstown 27th Dec
< Golden Silver produced a virtually flawless round of jumping to secure Grade One honours in the Paddy Power Dial-A-Bet Chase at Leopardstown.
Though the race lost some of its lustre with the defection of Forpadydeplasterer, it was no less a spectacle, as Tranquil Sea and Golden Silver jumped the final two fences in unison.
Willie Mullins' charge got away from the last the quicker and kept up the gallop to win by three and a half lengths under Paul Townend.< Hollo Ladies caused a 25-1 upset when landing the Grade One paddypowerpoker.com Future Champions Novice Hurdle.< Saludos led the field for much of the way and still held pole position rounding the home turn.
David Casey got Hollo Ladies into the lead in the final furlong and though Saludos fought back bravely, Noel Meade's charge came out a neck in front.
Robbie Power gained ample compensation for Saludos' narrow defeat when guiding Oscar Time to victory in the ultra-competitive Paddy Power Chase.< Gungadu led the field for much of the three-mile contest, but when he faded at the third-last, a number of horses were queueing up to take over.
Martin Lynch's Oscar Time (10-1) looked freshest at the last and skipped clear, coming home ahead of the running-on Siegemaster
A terrible pile-up and Secant Star s last flight fall allowed Sword Fish to open his account in the paddypowerbingo.com 3-Y-O Maiden Hurdle.
Secant Star appeared to have the race in safekeeping approaching the last, but he fell and then badly hampered Save My Blushes allowing Tony McCoy to pick his way through on the 3-1 shot and win by four lengths from Firm Foundations
David Casey produced a fine display in the saddle to complete a front-running double, taking the paddypower.com Handicap Hurdle on Bobsthewizard (5/1), while Prince Of Fire (100-30) landed the paddypowertrader.com Maiden Hurdle.
