Trainer Andy Slattery registered his third winner in as many days as his Mid Winster landed the Discover Boyne Valley Handicap at Fairyhouse today.
Ridden by the trainer's nephew Ben Coen, the daughter of Burwaaz improved to lead over a furlong out before eventually stayed on well for a comfortable three and three parts of a length success over That's Not Me
Brian Slattery, brother and assistant of the trainer, later stated “she was just wrong early in the year. She's a very good filly.
“She was fourth in a very hot Listed race at the Curragh last year and she's a black-type filly.
“We'll see what the handicapper does, weigh up our options, and see where we go. We've always liked her a lot and she's a very smart filly.”
Trainer Slattery had winners with Rip Rocks Paddy Ok at Cork on Friday, Sunset Nova at Navan yesterday and relies upon just one horse, newcomer and likely outsider Floating Around at Killarney tomorrow.
