"No I don't think I was (riding when Sennockian Star was a two-year-old). They jumped and went a good gallop and we got a split up the rail and once he passed one horse he went about his business," said Dylan Hogan after winning the Magners Original Apprentice Handicap on Sennockian Star.
The 11/1 chance won 14-races when with Mark Johnston, and here on start four for owner Michael Allen and trainer Seamus Fahey, he beat Sleepy Head (3/1 favourite) by two lengths.
"He had been dropped to a reasonable enough mark. He (the handicapper) can't put him up too much for that. That's his mark and that's his grade," further reflected Hogan.
"They were hoping he would run well, they said he can have a mind of his own. He passed a few horses today and he was happy. He went to the line well."
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Easy Boy trained by Patrick Martin, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be clinically abnormal post race.
