Was wins on debut
The Aidan O’Brien trained Was made a winning debut in the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden at The Curragh this afternoon, winning well under the trainer’s son Joseph O’Brien.
The daughter of Galileo went clear inside the final furlong for a comfortable win over stablemate Cabin
Afterwards O’Brien Snr stated “all my fillies there (Was, Cabin and Purple ran nicely. Was is a lovely filly and the second filly (Cabin) ran a lovely race too. Was will probably stay well in time and we will take our time with her now – she’ll go for a Stakes race next.”
