Mark Walsh gave Plinth a fine front-running ride to claim the two-and-a-half mile conditions hurdle at Naas this afternoon.
Walsh set a slow early pace on the Aidan O'Brien-trained gelding and he quickened up in good style at the business end.
The JP McManus-owned gelding stayed on well in the closing stages to post a length-and-a-half verdict over 15/8 favourite Macnicholson
Frank Berry, McManus' racing manager, said afterwards:-
“He jumped away well, did his own thing and quickened up well over the last few.
“He's been very consistent all year and was a bit unfortunate not to get his head in front at Limerick last time.
"It's nice to win with him again. We'll try him on winter ground and see how he gets on.”
