Walsh records double
Ruby Walsh was off to a good start at The Listowel Festival when recording a quick double on day one.
His first winner came aboard Sesenta when landing the feature race The Listowel Races Supporters Club Hurdle. Walsh's second winner came on the William Codd trained Vale Of Avocia to land The Low Low EBF Handicap Hurdle for owner Oliver & Kate O'Mahony.
Walsh held his mount up towards rear and crept into the race from 4 out and improved to lead after 2 out and stayed on well to win by a comfortable 10 lengths.
William Codd trainer said, "We gave her a long break after Leopardstown at Christmas. We gave her a run at Cork a couple of weeks ago and she came on a lot from it. We'll probably go back to Cheltenham in November for the Opportunity Handicap Hurdle."
