Walsh records double
The return of chases to Sligo for the first time in over eleven years saw a game winner in the Dermot Weld trained Majestic Concorde who landed the Martin Reilly Hyundai Chase in the hands of Ruby Walsh, making it a double on the day for the jockey.
Walsh settled his mount in behind the leaders before producing the Definite Article gelding to lead two fences from home and the pair kept on well for a seven length win over Saddler’s Native.
Walsh’s other winner came when Chew It Over won the opening race on this afternoon’s card, the Strandhill Maiden Hurdle.
