Two apprentices suspended

Jason Conneely and Gary Phillips both received on day suspensions for misuse of the whip at Dundalk this evening.
Phillips received his ban on race four winner Ningaloo Reef having adjudged to have ridden with excessive force and for using his whip in the forearm position in front of the saddle.
Conneely received a similar suspension for using his whip over shoulder height and when out of contention on Smile Sweetly in the 7.45 race.
