Townend at his best
The Pat Fahy trained Backtothekingsnest who carried top weight ran out a 1 3/4 length win of the Graun Hill Mares Handicap in the hands of Paul Townend for owner James Coen.
Winning trainer Fahy stated afterwards: “That was a great performance under top weight and Paul gave her the sweetest ride I’ve ever seen he was just so confident on her.”
“We will probably go to Galway in two weeks time and hopefully the ground will still be good there.”
Fahy who saddled No Stopping Sarah was brought down on the flat yesterday evening also added, “James also owned No Stopping Sarah and we were very down going home last night but she seems fine this morning and that winner has made up for it.”
