Willie Mullins' Toast (6/4f) made a winning debut in the concluding Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund (Mares) Bumper at Tramore today, scoring under the trainer's son Patrick Mullins.
Toast, out of Crumpett, arrived with her challenge in the dip and while strongly pressed by Inchiquin High in the closing stages, held on for a neck win.
Jockey Mullins later stated “she is not big but she loved that track and whizzed around those tights bends and loved that quick ground.
“She did well to get the gap around the home bend and then she was tough as I thought we were headed and she came back.
“She will keep going over the summer now and should be able to jump hurdles and might even win a little race on the flat."
