Tijuana Dances home in opener
Tijuana Dancer got off the mark in good style in the opening maiden hurdle at Clonmel today.
Ruby Walsh had a double handful turning for home and let the 6/4 favourite hit the front.
Tony Martin's charge kept on well when asked for a effort after the last and recorded a three-length victory over Happy Milly
"He's no star but was entitled to win that as it was a weak enough maiden hurdle," said Martin.
"He was a bit unlucky the last day but things went right today and that's great.
"We'll look for a little handicap or winners of one for him. The ground drying out probably helped."
