Salhooda with Pat Smullen aboard (confirmed the winner after a steward's enquiry), got up to beat Hanky Panky (Joseph O'Brien) by a head in the opening Kevin Cullen Lifetime Achievement In Racing European Breeders Fund Fillies Maiden at the Curragh.
The score between the pair in the race to be champion jockey now stands at Smullen 75, O’Brien 72.
Trainer of Salhooda, Dermot Weld said: "She battled well and done it nicely. She had a very good run and she'd been working very well. I thought she'd take a bit of beating today.
"I'd say the first two are smart fillies. Our filly is a nice staying type and should make up into a nice three-year-old.
"We'll look at the Silken Glider Stakes here in a few weeks time." (AM & EM)
