On start number seventeen Chicago School (16s into 12s) shed his maiden tag in the Crowne Plaza Hotel Race & Stay Handicap at Dundalk.

Having his seventh outing since joining Anthony McCann from Mark Johnston, Chicago School (Conor McGovern up) came out on top by half a length from Peace Mission

There was a short head back to third placer Bluesbreaker (16s into 7s).

"He was a bit unlucky here in February time, he hung coming across the track," said McCann.

"Conor (McGovern) gave him a superb ride there. He is apprenticed to me now and that's his first winner for the yard, he only started last week.

"Newcastle didn't suit him last week, I thought he would have had a great shout. The straight six furlongs he got very bored, he broke too keen and ran too keen.

"Things worked out far better for him tonight, the gaps opened and everything fell into place for him.

"He's a handicapper. He was a cheap horse, and he has himself well paid for now.

"It's great to have the support of Rita Shah."
