Salute sails to easy victory
Salute Him turned the Labrokes Ireland Handicap Hurdle into a procession at Listowel.
Ruby Walsh sent his mount into the lead at the second last and he soon sealed the victory.
The Tony Martin-trained gelding skipped clear before the last and the 7/4 favourite cruised to a four-and-a-half length victory over Rockazar
"I always knew it was there. He has got great gears but the driver was vitally important. He needed to be very patient," said Martin.
"The ground went against him plenty of times. He can't operate on anything worse than yielding.
"He's in again Thursday but won't run if it rains and the penalty is at the handicappers discretion as well."
