Ruby doubles up on Redera
Ruby Walsh completed a double at Wexford this evening, steering Redera (2/1f) to win the Wellingtonbridge Novice Hurdle for trainer Tony Martin.
Walsh moved the gelding through to lead before the final flight, before staying on for an easy win over Echo Bob
Afterwards Martin, who himself was doing a fair gallop on the in-field as the runners were finishing, said “things couldn’t have worked out any better Redera there. He is a summer horse who likes the flat country tracks. He has a bit of Flat speed and liked that ground.”
