Trainer Jim Bolger and stable jockey Kevin Manning completed a fine day's work when Intense Style s win in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Race at Dundalk added to the earlier win of their Lucida in the Group 2 Rockfel Stakes at Newmarket.
Manning experienced traffic problems on his return from Dublin airport and while he missed the ride on Rapid Eye in Dundalk's opening race, was in no mood to be denied a clear run on Intense Style, which made all and recorded a two and three parts of a length win over Folk Law
Afterwards Manning said “he (Intense Style) got it easy in front and quickened up and did it well. He's won on heavy ground and won on this surface so is versatile.”
Regarding his own late arrival to the track, he added “I met a bit of heavy traffic coming out of Dublin (airport) and missed the first but it was great to get here for this race."
