Second reserve Bigz Belief took full advantage of getting a run in division one of the Racing Again On 27th May Handicap to justify favouritism at Limerick.
The Matthew Smith-trained gelding was let down by some poor jumping when disappointing over hurdles at Fairyhouse last time and was having his first run on the Flat in nine months.
Dylan Browne McMonagle ’s mount led early in the straight and, having been ridden to assert over a furlong out, the 11/4 favourite kept on well to beat Trump Card by two and a half lengths. Wisaka was a half-length back in third, while Toughari came home well in fourth.
"He did it well and got a lovely run around. I was able to control it wherever I went. In fairness when i got stuck into him up the straight he picked up well," said the winning rider.
"The ground was a little worry as I thought he might have needed a cut but he was fourth in his maiden on good ground. He won over two miles on heavy ground over hurdles and seems to enjoy it out in front.
"I only found out I was riding the horse this morning."
