O'Farrell at his best
Conor O’Farrell put in a good performance when getting up in the closing stages to land the Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Hurdle aboard the Shark Hanlon trained Gougane
Winning trainer Hanlon said afterwards, “Thank god our luck has changed we’ve had six seconds in the last two weeks so it’s nice to have a winner before Galway. He was unlucky the last day at Downpatrick where he missed the last.”
“Conor gave him a great ride, it’s the best ride I’ve ever seen him give a horse. He is getting so strong and it really showed there.”
Hanlon also stated, “He will go for another handicap hurdle in a fortnights time at either Tramore or Killarney.”
