Joseph O’Brien’s wait to achieve ‘trainer’ status will finally (and thankfully!) end on Monday as the dual Champion Jockey is set to send out his first official runners at both Listowel and Gowran.
Speaking following the win of the Ballydoyle trained War Decree at Leopardstown today, O’Brien stated "all went well this morning (interview). The paperwork has been sorted out, and I'll be declaring on Sunday to have my first runners on Monday - I'll have a couple in Listowel and at Gowran, where we have a two-year-old and one in a handicap.”
