No surprise for Gudnis Gracious Me
Gudnis Gracious Me readily justified 11/8 favouritism to win the August Racing Festival 11th-14th May Beginners’ Chase at Tramore this evening for trainer John O’Shea and stable jockey Sean McDermott.
Following the win, O’Shea stated “I thought I was being clever coming here this time of year for an easy race but it turned out to be a competitive race!”
“She acts well on a sharp track like this and will now have a few more runs on the Flat before Galway. She is well handicapped on the Flat and with a mark of 124, we’ll try to get her into the Galway Hurdle.”
