Mullins & Berry top off a great evening
Tony Mullins doubled his tally for the evening at Tramore when Decoy Daddy gave Fran Berry a treble in the concluding www.tramore-racecourse.com Maiden. Berry also rode Tony's other winner, Fammi Sognare and the other victory for the Tramore specialist was for his boss, John Oxx, on O'Bella Ballerina in the opener.
Completing a great evening for the punters at Graun Hill, as six of the seven favourites won and the other winner was a 3/1 shot, Decoy Daddy, the 9/10 market-leader stayed on well to draw clear in the final furlong, accounting for Holly Tree by four and a half lengths.
Mullins said of Decoy Daddy: "We are always saying that he is dead reliable but the handicapper has him now in all disciplines. So we found what looked like a weak maiden and he took his chance well.
"He is a trainers delight as he always runs to his mark and is so honest. He is in a good chase in Killarney and he is such a hardy devil that he might just go there next week."
