John Oxx and Michael Kinane produced a nice debutant in Zaralanta in the newmarketracecourse.co.uk Maiden over six-furlongs.

A three-year-old daughter of Danehill Dancer, she was always prominent in the hands of Michael Kinane and stayed on impressively to pass the judge three-lengths in front of Jim Bolger's Buiochas Mor

Another date at the Curragh is now on the winner's agenda according to Oxx.

"She is a nice filly," he said. "We will run her in the Athasi Stakes over seven-furlongs, I am not sure she will get any further.

"She likes a cut in the ground, so trip and ground could be important to her, but she is smart and straight forward and not at her best yet."
