McNamaras team up with Trix
There was a family success in the two-mile handicap hurdle at Cork with the Andrew McNamara-trained D's Trix scoring under the handler's son and namesake.
The Quws gelding hit the front two out and stayed on well to record a two-and-a-half length victory over Soleil Levant
"He'll go to Limerick at Christmas. He'll jump a fence in time and is a nice horse. He'll improve a lot as he was a backward horse," said Andrew McNamara senior.
"I ran him over two miles on good ground and thought he wanted further but his last two runs over two-and-a-half in heavy ground was too far. Although I say he'd get it on good ground."
It was a double on the card for McNamara junior, who had scored on Diophas in the opener for Edward O'Grady.
