The Niall Madden trained Mad For Road gained his maiden win at Dundalk this evening when finishing strongly to win the Follow Us On Facebook Handicap (div 1).
Jockey Niall McCullagh raced the son of Galileo in the rear of mid-division before making progress in the straight, eventually edging ahead close home for a neck win over Buccaneer Bob
Madden later reported “I was hoping he'd run a nice race as he had been running over hurdles and the better ground here suited. He'll go for something similar and he's one to go hurdling over the summer.”
Mad For Road (16/1) was the second big priced winner of the evening, following Bualadh Croi s earlier 25/1 win.
