Lynch bounces back on Ridestan
Ridestan puts in another fine jump under Andrew Lynch

Andrew Lynch, out of luck earlier with the last flight fall of Master Appeal didn’t have to wait long for some compensation as Ridestan put up a fine round of jumping to take the International Hotel Killarney Beginners Chase.
The whole complexion of the 2m1f event changed quickly early in the straight as Mick Thonic blundered badly when disputing the lead and lost all chance, with Jonathan Burke soon pulling him up.
Ridestan took over from The Plan Man before two out, and the 5/1 chance stayed on strongly on the run-in to beat the 7/4 favourite by 12 lengths. Crown Of Gold was a further four lengths adrift in third.
Lynch said, “We were a bit worried about the ground. He didn’t get home over 2m2f at Galway but the flatter track and shorter trip was the key to him. He’s an unbelievable jumper.”
