After his breakthrough success here last Friday evening Is That Love (5/2 favourite) quickly supplemented those gains in the Find Us On Facebook @dundalkstadium Handicap (division two).

Again Cian MacRedmond was in the plate, and again the Es Que Love gelding drifted left for the rail in the final furlong.

However the 5/2 market-leader was in charge at that stage and he went on to beat Gormanstown by a length and three parts. Kinch came home well for third, the same distance back.

“He was 3lb well in as he got a 9lb rise the other day,” said winning trainer Ado McGuinness.

“I have him in at Cork on Saturday and he'll be declared in the morning for it. He'll have a day or two on the beach now.

“He had a little bit of a wind problem last year and we got it sorted out. He has been difficult but he's turned a corner now and we'll keep rattling on with him while he's in that form.

“He is what he is and hopefully the handicapper won't be too hard on him but he's never too nice to you when you win two in a row.”

The Stewards reviewed an incident inside the final furlong involving Gormanston ridden by R.C. Colgan, and Is That Love, ridden by C.J. MacRedmond. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

C.J. MacRedmond, rider of Is That Love trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung in the straight.
