The top four declared runners for the Carrickmines Handicap Chase at Leopardstown today were each withdrawn, with victory in the end going to the Bill Harney trained Leanne
Three of the four non-runners were due to the drying ground but Leanne eventually proved best of the eight remaining runners, arriving with a late challenge to deny Head Waiter near the line.
Afterwards Harney said “I was a bit concerned about the ground coming here but Bryan said he was going to drop her in and take his time.
“She is in that 3m Pulteney handicap chase at Cheltenham on the Tuesday and we'll decided about that later in the week.”
