Kodiac's Back gained his second win in the Grant Thornton Handicap at Limerick today and has prospects of following up at Gowran on Sunday where the David Marnane trained gelding is also a declared runner.
Ridden by Connor King, the four year old, recording his second win over this seven furlongs and his first since last August, stayed on well in the closing stages for a length and a half success over Tom Dooley
Marnane later stated "he's in at Gowran on Sunday but I don't know if he'll run - we'll see how he pulls out over the weekend.
"A few things didn't go right for him the last few runs and the easier ground didn't suit him the last day.
"He is owned by Denis McGettigans (of McGettigans Management Services JLT), a publican who is opening a pub in Galway today and couldn't be here."
