Knock Stars keeps favourite backers happy
Favourite Knock Stars stayed on best to land the six furlong nursery at Dundalk by a length in the hands of Padraig Beggy at odds of 3/1. Jamesie came second with Expire in third.
Trainer Patrick Martin was delighted with his filly's progress. He said: "She was unlucky the last day. It was nice to get compensation today.
"She'll go for the Birdcatcher next at Naas on grass. It should suit her very well. She's very versatile but a bit highly strung. I was surprised she was as quick over five furlongs last time but the six furlongs today was perfect."
