Kerry Star and Patrick Mullins hold off Vic's Little Miss

Kerry Star was all out at the line to claim the concluding bumper at Clonmel for Willie and Patrick Mullins.
The Oscar mare was sent to post the 5/4 favourite having finished third on her debut at Sligo last month.
Patrick Mullins sent his mount to the front turning for home in the two-miler and she asserted a furlong-and-a-half from home. Vic's Little Miss stuck on well inside the final furlong, however, and almost got on terms close home, going down by just a head.
Willie Mullins said afterwards:- "she is a brave filly and got racing from a long way out and was very gutsy to maintain her stride the whole way up to the winning line. The second horse was giving her a fair test of it.
"We might go for a maiden hurdle next or else possibly go for a Listed mares' bumper at Gowran. She isn't the biggest but has a big heart."
