Jack Kennedy continued his domination at Cork this afternoon as Search For Glory claimed the Singletons Supervalu Stayers Novice Hurdle in fine style.
It was a quick treble on the card for the red-hot jockey and doubles for trainer Gordon Elliott and owners Gigginstown. What Path cut out the running in the three-miler and was joined by Mahon's Way four from home. That pair gave way three from home though as Solitary Man and Search For Glory came to dispute.
The latter gained the advantage going to the penultimate flight and asserted before the last. He got tight to the final flight but galloped on strongly to record a cosy three-length win.
Search For Glory, sent off 7/4 favourite, had been third to stablemate Croke Park over half a mile shorter in another Grade 3, the Monksfield Novice Hurdle, at Navan last time.
Kennedy said:- "He stays well, jumped and travelled great and is a progressive horse. He is a staying horse and hopefully he keeps going the right way now."
Both Paddy Power and Betfair introduced the winner at 20/1 for the Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle at Cheltenham in March.
