Kelly in trouble with stewards
Tony Kelly was in hot water with the stewards after partnering King Ali trained by his father Pat, to finish a head second to Wins Now in the Guinness Galway Blazers Handicap Chase this evening.
There was a terrific conclusion to this 2m6f event with the above two horses and top-weight Truckers Delight (a neck further back in third) involved in a three-way photo-finish.
However Kelly appeared to stop riding King Ali just before the line and, as a result, the Ballybrit stewards hit the 7lb claiming amateur with a ten days suspension.
