Jim pounces on Refs mistake
The complexion of the Spring Team Classic Final 2010 At Gowran Park Maiden Hurdle changed utterly at the last when King Of The Refs looking an assured winner at the time, went left and was very slow and awkward handing the initiative to market-rival Jim Bowie
The latter took his opportunity, going on to beat the rallying King Of The Refs by three parts of length.
Sporting the famous Beef Or Salmon silks of Joe Craig (who bought the Dushyantor gelding before he landed the odds in a Downpatrick bumper earlier in the month) Noel Meade said of the Paul Carberry-ridden victor: "He might have been lucky with the mistake of the other fellow at the last. He stays all day and we'll keep going with him for the rest of the season."
